Workshop Managers (1 Gabon, 1 Ivory Coast)

In this role you will be in charge of:

  • Full management/supervision of workshop for heavy duty machinery, light vehicles, gen sets etc.
  • In charge of the general services department (water & electricity supply, maintenance of buildings, roads, bridges, …)
  • Responsible for the maintenance and repair of all vehicles and equipment
  • Responsibility/supervision of workshop stock, tools & equipment
  • Schedule services for vehicles and other repair works: make sure that all repair works, servicing, breakdown etc. are perfectly carried out according to the highest engineering standards and according to company policies.
  • Day to day running of the workshop
  • Ensure spare parts availability and make sure to have sufficient spare parts in stock and they (whether local or overseas) are delivered in due time
  • Preparation of procurement requirements
  • Prepare requests for purchase and follow up
  • Approve requisition for items in stock for repair work
  • Programming and implementation of fleet maintenance program
  • Troubleshooting management
  • Supervision of workshop staff : performance, time keeping, cost allocation
  • Enforce training plan for workshop personnel
  • Control checklist – OT list – Leave Schedules etc.
  • Activity, Statistical, etc. reporting’s to the Group Workshop Manager
  • Special Projects on Demand

Your Profile:

  • Degree in Technical / Mechanical engineering
  • minimum 10 years of relevant experience;
    • Caterpillar Machinery àfundamental
    • Mercedes-Benz / Actros ( Important)
    • Landini, Toyota, etc. (important)
  • Cummins gen sets qualifications
  • Previous exposure to west African countries or similar is desirable
  • French à very good knowledge
  • Good IT skills;
    • ET/SIS/Mercedes Benz Software
  • Good planning, organization & management skills
  • Motivated and dynamic, able to prioritize and being proactive
  • Problem solver, flexible and multitasker
  • Good communicator, team player, result-oriented
  • Hands-on
  • Good reporting skills
  • Good communicator and interpersonal skills
